Finis Lacrimatio

Finis Lacrimatio is Latin for “No More Tears” and depicts Death as mercy. Represented by the figure of an angel, it comprises symbols of death, such as ravens, skulls, a sickle, and a headstone. The chains which usually bind us to the earth hang loose with Death’s freedom, and the dove escaping captivity symbolizes everlasting peace.
