Govinda and the Heifer Nymph

Govinda and the Heifer Nymph is a homage to Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu, the ultimate deity of the life essence that permeates everything. The holy cow is walking placidly through a Jain temple and is made up of offerings to the heavens. The blue colour is representative of Krishna (also known as Govinda), and the arms are about the many girlfriends who surrounded him in his incarnation as cow heard.

After recovering from a severe arm break in India, the painting is a show of gratitude and a celebration and recognition of the true meaning of the events that occur throughout life.
