50 Contemporary Surreal, Fantastic and Visionary Artists

I currently live and work in Montreal, Quebec. I have drawn and painted all my lie and over the course of time, I have developed a style known for its mechanical overtones and symbolic fusion of elements. My work first started to tackle the issue of technological development during my adolescence, when I began depicting subjects as machines placed in natural settings. My art became more symbolic when the obsession with technology gave way to an exploration of the human condition. I began painting more classical images, composed out of seemingly random, incongruous objects, whose meaning could be understood through looking at the picture as a whole.

Despite moving toward symbolism and more abstract themes, the echo of technology has been sustained in my work as a language representative of our era. By continuing to depict mechanized beings grappling with timeless human concerns, my work addresses current and crucial questions regarding what would appear to be the inevitable marriage of technology with biology.
